Yes he is the best player in the world and may very well be the best chess
player to ever play the game. But there is all kinds of fear I've never met a
person who didn't have some fear from time to time. GK has dropped a game to
comps from time to time and his comment " never forget ...loss to Genuis3"
indicates at least some form of trepidation. And of late has stated he won't
play Fritz in the 30/0 tournament. I beleive he and the other GM's vastly
  underestimated DJ playing
in this 60/0 event. There is not much diffence between 30/0 and 60/0 when it
comes to playing comps IE. "when the time gets short it becomes blitz". It
is one thing to drop an Isolated quick time game to a comp by the world
champion but to lose his own 60/0 tournament to DJ would have been like the
"shot heard around the world". Even the possibility of such a prospect would
bring fear/anxiety to most men and IMO GK also. While he certainly would be
favored to win the match with DJ ...remember he was also heavily favored to
defeat DB. In a two game 60/0 it was certainly no sure thing. The way DJ
shredded the first GM and his clear outplaying Adams in the first game
of their match had to of sent cold chills reverberating through the KC
organization. From their perspective a loss to DJ would have been a financial
disaster. There is motive and opportunity .......I have no Idea if there is
an alibi. It is logical to ask such questions after the fiasco with Adams/DJ.
