I made a tournament all starting with eco a12(1.Nf3,d5 2.c4,c6 3.b3,Nf6 4.g3,Bg4 5.Bg2,Nbd7 6.Bb2,e6 7.0-0,Bd6 8.d3,0-0 9.Nbd2,e5 generaly I wanted to create it bigger so I also could see what the learning options would do to the engines. But first of all it is a follow up from the chessmagazine from Jan Louwman (forgot the name sorry about that),wich he wrote in 1997. How far are the programs now in looking trough these kind of positions? I am sorry to say there still is a lot to learn. just like in 1997 it still is Nimzo who handels the position best but not corect I can't put up Schreder4 in the tournaments but this program is clearly best in this position . And in the first place it is not the point wich program wins the most games here but wich programs generates the best idea. So for who is intrested just send a mail to marc@MarcvanHal.tmfweb.nl
