I think that a chess database with a DOS interface may be a hard sell in today's
market. The market is already fairly crowded with windows compatible DBs as it
is.

I would say there is a distinction between and internal and external engine.
Internal engines are generally much more convenient to use. Using an external
engine (like CA does) is certainly the best solution for programs that do not
have a chessbase or winboard compatible interface.

One big problem with Chessmaster is that it cannot automatically process EPD
files, like Rebel, genius, etc. So don't count on being able to use the
chessmaster engine in CA/CB, etc, anytime soon.
