I think this error was due possibly to a null failure, since it looks like a
very shallow search could avoid the bad move.  I've noticed several weird,
inexplicably bad moves recently, throwing away material, not seeing shallow
mates.  I think I must have broken something.  I recently added piece-lists,
maybe something bad there.
