The 7th move of ZChess Qb4? was already a mistake, but in the following
position:
r1b1k1nr/pp2ppbp/2p3p1/2p5/1q2P3/2NP1N1P/PPP2PP1/R1BQ1RK1 b kq -
ZChess makes a major blunder :
8. ... Bxc3 ??
This 'computer' :-) move does win a pawn, the only problem is that it lose
the game !
In the previous position, the black bishop in g7 should be preserved.
This blunder is also played by many programs, here is the move played on a
K6 300
after 1 minute of analysis:
Program, Move played, Eval (in favor of black)
ZChess 1.2 Bxc3 ?? +0.80
WChess 2000 Bxc3 ?? +0.88
Crafty 16.0 Bxc3 ?? +0.13
Chess Genius 6 Bxc3 ?? -0.06
Fritz 5.0 Bxc3 ?? -0.25
Zarkov 5 Nf6 ! -0.19
Zarkov is the only program here that doesn't take the pawn !
