Hello, for the Phase X project (Phase X = WinBoard engines under other GUIs) I made yesterday a Chess Academy detail page in German, Phase X is in German. Here I check Chess Academy and a lot of "WinBoard Engines". I see that the WB Engines works fine and think that Chess Academy is the first commercial chess GUI who all WinBoard Engines works fine. OK, user can not play eng-eng matches under the Chess Academy, but user can uses the Autoplayer. The Autoplayer is included, the handling is simply. I know that the The Crazy Bishop programmer made last year an autoplayer driver for WinBoard engines. Chess Academy is an fantastic program ... Big database, very good chess tutor (I think the best), new chess engine (with a middelgame book, it`s new), big openings books for the Chess Academy Engine (not for the WinBoard engines) and more. So I made a academy_config.zip file for all WinBoard engines (I hope the files are correct, I can not check in my time all 43 WinBoard engines but I made an check with programs who have problems under other commercial programs / GUIs. Example: Dragon 3.11, SOS 11/99, LambChop ! Wit Braslawski (Chess Academy Software) tells me, that in the next time user can download a demo version with full WinBoard support. Included is the "Chess Academy Engine" without an opening book. When I have more information I will write later in my News-Ticker. I have 5 config.zip files ! for ... WinBoard Chess Academy Millennium Chess System (Genius 6.0 / 6.5) Chess Base GUIs and in german: Einer für alle, alle für einen (for all a big_cofig.zip file). I edit for all "WB Engines" the configuration files. I know that a lot of engines not work unter MCS or Chess-Base GUIs. But maybe in the next version ?!So the user have all files :-) New is, that I put the *.url files of the programmer or download pages in the config.zip files.
