You need the '-zp' ('zippy') option.

Note that you might need to reconfigure (./configure --enable-zippy) and
recompile the xboard program. If you are using a precompiled binary from a Linux
distro like RedHat or Suse chances are that they did not configure zippy - you
will have to do this.
