I've been using Swing, and it has everything you need to write great user interfaces. In fact it has everything the MFC has for example, and some more things too. If you've used Swing too, then sorry, please excuse me. If not, maybe have a look at the "SwingSet" demo which ships with the JDK. It's a small example of some things that can be done with Swing. Very impressive, but still not everything that's possible. Another good demo is JBuilder Foundation which is written in Java and itself.
