I've heard about bad memory before but when I run the diagnostics tests in
Windows 98 it tells me all is fine. Do you know of any software that I could use
to double check? The machine originally came with 64meg Ram and I added 128
more. The original memory card is still there and I've had problems running
chess software from day one. At first it was just Chessbase programs and Rebel
and now Winboard too. Its a hit or miss, sometimes it works,most time it locks,
or I get an Invalid page fault or the Blue screen of death. Very frustrating to
hear about all these tournaments and not being able to run engine vs engine
myself.
