( 200 000 000 ) / (200 000) = 1000 times faster (roughly).  You can get some
really hot setups that are better than that, but it's not a bad average figure.

1000 is about 10 doublings, so that would be ten years, assuming Moore's law
holds at its current rate.  It used to be once every 18 months, but for the last
few years it has been once per year.
