Okay, I uninstalled DJ6, nuked the .ini file and the directories, then went and reinstalled NT Service Pack 6a. After that, I went and installed DJ6, selecting a standard install, selecting no to the options to install IE components and HTML help (my understanding is that the necessary code for these is already part of NT Service Pack 6a.), and rebooting at the end of the install. Unfortunately, I still get the same error popup as before... :( Dave
