Heiner's points show the difference between the interests of the o.t.b. community and the world of composition. The former are happy to have useful information which is highly likely to be 100% accurate for their game. The latter rightly want the 'absolute truth' untainted by approximations like: a) 'P=Q-only', introduced for practical reasons b) '50-move rule', introduced for social (i.e. practical) reasons Five Queens, though not literally a KQQQKQQ position, have appeared o.t.b. KQQQKQQ is needed, even for the P=Q-only variant of chess, before KQQPKQQ and KQQKQPP endings can be given a theoretical value. Guy
