It can coexist with VC++ of course, but if you have a batch file to switch settings depends on you ;-) If you use VIDE as an IDE for the free Borland C++ command-line compiler, you don't need any batch at all, because then you don't have to set the PATH or any environment settings at all. And VIDE contains a documentation of all command-line switches of the compiler, which is not included with the compiler download :) Heiko.
