Go up one level in this thread

Jeroen I agree with your criticism on the bad organization of the event.
But don't say the tournament is worthless just because Rebel and Hiarcs
are not there. Last time Rebel didn't show up because of cookbooks. Now
it is the bad organization. What will be the reason next time? The field
is strong, don't try to suggest otherwise, and show some respect for the
briljant programmers who DARE to compete. Mchess has a comfortable
position at SSDF too and does *not* play hide and seek.

About your lottery comment: I agree partially and I have some questions
about that to all.

1) In the current tournament, with the current number of rounds, what
would be the probability that the best program wins the tournament?

2) Could someone post a table that expresses the relationship between
number of rounds and the probability that the best program wins?

I agree with Jeroen that increasing confidence level would increase
tournament status.

Regards,
Bas Hamstra.

PS: Jeroen, will Rebel and The King play in the Dutch championship?
