The first commercial version of Shredder was 100 points weaker than the top programs at blitz . This has been confirmed by many testers including Larry Kaufman and myself. In my case I had an IM play it at 10 minute games. However since Shredder has done so well at Paris, it seems that Shredder is much improved at blitz and even though it didn't repeat as champion at slow chess, it is most certainly stronger at that too. Shredder has the best screen layouts and has a log file capability and a fantastic interface to endgames.tablebases. I am looking forward to testing Shredder 2.0
