Hi Didzis,

I've been running a few chess progs under Win 2000 without any problems (from
what I hear Chessmaster is apparently not compatible with Win 2K, but then I am
not interested in its gaudy graphics). I haven't checked the file system and
its influence on the performance of chess progs -- that would be too much
sacrifice, even from an inveterate computer chess fan... However, I expect no
significant differences. Programs that matter run smoothly and quite fast
(Crafty, for example, runs fastest under Win 2K, to confirm, please visit Michel
Langeveld's web site): ChessBase, Millennium, Rebel, Tiger, Winboard, and, of
course, Chess System Tal 2 :). Plus the magnificent database + tutorial +
playing program by Intelinvest - Chess Academy 2000.

*** Djordje
