* I don't know about a lot of the other playing programs, and didn't want to
'name names', but with Fritz and Chess Base, the programs handle 'standard pgn.'
very well. You can take a complete pgn. score off a web page, cut it, then
paste into onto the board in ChessBase, and/or, at least import FEN positions
into Fritz. In addition, Chess Base 7 is outstanding, in that with one click,
you can download games from the internet directly. As a database, I always
found in very impressive (I appoligize for not mentioning to lovers of other
database programs, that do this stuff equally well), that you can so easily
convert any database to any other major format (including pgn.), with the drag &
drop feature. I'm pretty sure you can do most of this with Fritz as well, but
haven't bothered learning how, since I always use CB7, but I degress -I read
that there were problems with the use of pgn. in ChessMaster, so not wanting it
for that - I buy it for the tutorials,(CM6000 was better then CM7000, with the
'Rate my Play', feature', for example - Glad its going to be back), features, I
never bothered with it in Chess Master products, anyway.

* Still, this seem to me much less convienent, then to be able to use either the
arrow keys, or the page-up, or page-down keys...

* Maybe this had already been addressed in CM7000 (which I hardly used), but I
think their was an 'out cry' here, that if you already had a directx version on
your computer, it was vital to have the choice, NOT to install or overite
whatever directx version was already there.

* Yes, of course - But because you hinted that the opening book (one of the most
importent adjustable features in any chess playing program, and a Major selling
point to most of the people here!), in the next version was going to be the same
crappy one as previous versions, before, & before, & before, I was dreaming that
perhaps, Johan could or would market his engine (maybe he could call it
something else, but all us CCC ("Frankly this program is not aimed at you"),
types, would know it was really 'The King', anyway, even if it was sold to Chess
Base, as 'The Patzar':)
