I don't know that Walter started anything negative. Our "favorites" is always
an interesting topic. The mud-slinging was pretty tame, and intitiated by
others (perhaps myself included).

I think there is room for just about any topic that has any margin of being
related to computer chess, even "How do I make the best ChessMaster
personality?"
;-)

"What's the best <anything>?" is little more than an opening to voice our
opinions about what is important to us. [Post hypnotic suggestion: Process EPD]
And when we get an audience for that, we like to expound on the features and
abitlities that are interesting to us [Post hypnotic suggestion: Process EPD]
like any other sort. Perhaps some programmers will read our lists of likes and
dislikes and add important features like -- say -- Processing EPD.
