Well, no so quite, Chris. As a writer in Computer Chess Report I can tell you that things are no so simple like that. I don't say that never happens, but not always happen. I am sure you are not thinking in CCR with your harsh words as much you have been interviewed by me there and you didn't say "no" on behalf of a fight against bloody lyers. So I presume you felt that you was not going to be targeted by lyes. I have never been pushed in a way or another for writting in favour or against any program. Computer Chess Reports is -like CCC- sponsored by Your Moves&Games, ICD, but not even once I have been told not to write anything good of a program that is NOT distributed by them or and /or to say something extremely good of those products they sell. Not me, not the others guys that, by the way, write there because they like to do it, not because they are payed. I am not payed, no one is payed. All this does not means that nobody use the power -little power in this case- of press to get something, but I am sure that generally speaking the rule is not do it. I think that the magazine wrote by Eric is also an honest one, as it is CCR. If there are sins are more in the side of too much hoopla than to much criticism. But even in this case, more that a sin is the result of the objetive fact that you rarely meet a bad product in this field, lately. And when my colleague K.K in CCR usually find and describe no less than 30 or 40 flaws in new programs, nobody stop him in order not to perturb potential business. Lyes can be met everywhere, Chris, even here. Lye comes from interest and this, CCC, is not Heaven. As as here, Computer Chess Reports is in the Web so any thing anybody dims a lye or unworthy can be inmediately refuted or contested. we don't talk from the mountain, we are exposed and we receive criticism when we are wrong. So, Chris, i ask you not to involve all of us in the sin of a bunch from G... Not even God did it and the honest people were so few...
