Crafty will do this easily.  It just isn't tuned to do so.  But by ramping
up the weight for learning (bookw learn command) this will happen.  It just
doesn't work on chess servers...  do you _really_ want to keep playing the
same opening until your opponent figures out how to bust it?  Not on a server
against anti-computer GM players.  You want more variety.

In any case, when I said "came from Crafty" it meant exactly that.  The ideas
were published, both in the source and in the JICCA.  They asked if I had any
problem with their using this stuff, and I said "no"...
