I have never encountered the above bug. Just tried it out on my latest Fritz and
on an ancient version on my video digitising computer. Both accept 1...g6P,
2.L7. I'll ask at the office if anyone knows about the bug you describe.

BTW, if you or anyone else has encountered problems with the TrueType diagram
printing, in which the 2nd and/or 7th ranks are misaligned, I have discovered
why that happens: The square outline character with the 7 and the 2 are mapped
to where you normally have quotes (" and '). In some word processors, like Word,
these characters are automatically replaced in the text with typographical
quotes. You have to switch "smart quotes" off to cure the problem.
