Yes ! But to see the right move and variant with longer calculations is fine. I have not see a right move in 0 or 1 seconds. OK, in the LCT II test but in my opinion the most problems are not complected. Uri, a good idea is to use the problem without a piece witch are not important :-) I make this and when I wrote a result from program is fantastic so I am 100%ig sure. >I prefer to know Gandalf's result in Enrique's secret test suite. Hm, I must switched information with Enrique and my secret test suites :-) >I understood from the result that Gandalf is one of the strongest chess programs >in the world but I do not think that it is the strongest. I see what I see. I can`t played against each TOP programs. I have no interest on programs which are not compatible to good engine concepts. I think for all user it is better to have 1-5 GUIs which are compatible to each other chess engines. When I make a analyses I am happy when I can switch from engine to engine. I have no interest on results from 1 chess program with only his own GUI. I mean we live in the year 2000 and not in the year 1990 ! >I remember that I read a rating list that suggest that it is in the same level >of Fritz6a and it is not enough to be number 1 because I guess that the new >versions of Fritz,Shredder,Rebel and Tiger are better than Fritz6a. Yes you say here Shredder, Rebel, Tiger and Fritz ... 4 very strong programs but we have a lot of more strong programs !! Chess Wizard, Ferret, Virtual Chess, The King, Zarkov ! A lot of amateurs are very very strong ! I hope that more and more programs with a high level are available. With Gandalf we have no a next program which played on a very high level. Now is intersting to see the playing style from all this programs. I like Gandalf because the playing style is fantastic. Uri, when I see a engine - engine match I will see fire on the board and not a boring endgame ! I don`t know how strong is Rebel, Chess Tiger and Shredder 4. I played games under Chess-Assistant with Tiger and Shredder. Chess Assistant is also a very good GUI and also Tiger and Shredder are very good programs. Sorry for my first message, I have your message not right understand. Frank
