After taking some time to think about it I came to about the same conclusion. I
looked at some of my weights and redid them. I made castle pawn structure
values scaled to opponents material count. Before there was just a few points
penalty. Now its much higher. Also i had rook on wide open file bonuses i
added rook on semi open file so it would see that bonus for the enemy when it
opened the h file. In addition rook mobility bonuses would go up so i think
that sort of thing would be dicouraged. I still might add a penalty for opening
the h file based on opponents material count and if a rook can go there but for
right now i think i'm ok.i still have not written pawn storm routines i think
thats next.
