I don't think 'pawn storming' code is essential. So long as you recognize the result of shredding the pawns... one other issue. Rooks on an open file bearing on the king are dangerous. But don't forget the rook lift issue as well... IE Re3-Rh3 and the rook has no friendly pawns in front of it. This is nearly as dangerous as when the file is open with the rook on it.
