why don't you QUOTE the passage for all of us who have no chessbits.
this would be a good thing to understand better.

brilliant ! now we can discuss.

and he had shredder, right, at least a beta-shredder.

hm.

the problem is IMO that you and marcus did the opening preparation for shredder
in tournaments before. he knows shredder very well. and which lines in the
shredder book are lost. he knows these lines from working with YOU.

i remember paderborn, where before almost each game (sometimes peter schreiner
and) marcus and you discussed
the opening you wanted to play.

and now marcus is sitting , operating rebel and of course has still the
knowledge
he has from tournaments and experience before.

IMO what he should have done is: do nothing that could damage YOUR relationship.
i was in quite a similar situation when operating CSTal in paderborn once,
against hiarcs (operated by Karsten Bauermeister).

difficult to be as fair as possible.

if he HAS knowledge, from working very intimate with you on shredder,
he should better NOT use it against shredder IMO.

i remember once (paris) mchess (operated by peter schreiner) had to
play against CSTal. peter and me had the same room in paris.
of course we did NOT influence anything. that would be fair towards marty
or chris. nevertheless, the game ended in a weird theory line, that was draw
in the end.

YOUR operator...
you know that marcus is a person on his own and not influenced by rebel-team.
it is YOUR operator for london. he is not ed's slave.

you believe marcus is not telling the truth and ed does not understand about
this, or what does this sentence mean ?!
