Yes, the problem is that you want to favor positions where you still on move at
the end of the line, and you'll have both in your search.

I used this kind of fudge a long time ago, but I took it out.  There may be a
theoretical best bonus value, and it may change during the course of the game.
If you get it wrong, you probably destabilize your search and go a little
slower.
