I'm sorry for using that word. Instead of "misleading", I should have said
that it "isn't to the point, as far as the USER is concerned."
If there is no way to run Winboard engines under some interface without serious
degradation, then the "disease" is in the GUI, as far as the customer is
concerned.
Chessbase makes some great products! But anyone expecting Winboard engines to
run optimally under their GUI's should be warned. And now, we wonder whether
or not the Shredder GUI should come with this same caveat. (That is a good
function of this newsgroup.)
The original poster bought the program, expecting reasonable results, just as
I bought my first Chessbase GUI with the engine-engine capabilities. But let
it be known that if accurate results are possible, it must be between CB Native
engines, as far as I know, that one must BUY!
That is O.K.!
But the customer should KNOW ABOUT IT!

to everyone else.)
