Sure, Bob...
I think it was a combination of curiosity and a desire to make
the CCC even more interesting to visit.
	a) On the “Curiosity” front - we have in CCC (and I am
sure in rgcc as well) a huge number of visitors (I think I have
heard these people referred to as ‘lurkers’ - sounds evil to me)
but a relatively small percentage of “participants”. I am sort
of a lurker myself. I. personally, would like to know what these
people are thinking, and I feel that others would as well. Yet,
I believe that they have a perfect right not to get involved
in posting. Here we offer a painless way to have them heard.
	b) On the “More Interesting” front - even though the
CCC has been a huge success and seems to be growing
geometrically, I think that even more people will visit even more
often when they know that their opinions are being counted and to
see the results of these poles. Who knows, perhaps some will
shed their lurker status.
I know it will be interesting, but, frankly, I am not absolutely
sure that it will be useful here, and that is why I threw it out
for group scrutiny.
Regards, Steve
