There are solutions for this.

Yes probably. But rumours has it that the next Palm generation will use the
StrongARM processor too.

Exactly!

And a PC in my pocket is the last thing that I want. I can't afford to spend
hours configuring the stuff and messing with the Windows registry when I'm on
the go.

All I want is a handheld that is simple and which works. A Palm.
