I don't think point-and-click suffices for Red Hat; at the company I worked, we lost some time when the sysadm installed RH7.0 and suddenly applications stopped compiling or crashed in gas. My personal experience from RH5.2 (two years ago) is that it for me was very easy to get to the point where it almost worked, but impossible to get it functional - neither the modem nor the sound card could be accessed, in spite of them being listed as compatible with the distribution. Of course my lack of knowledge of Unix details is the key reason for the failure, but neither 10 years of experience of __using__ Unix nor lots of suggestions from websites and newsgroups helped me. I think there are more people able to install Windows* than there are people capable of installing Linux. / Gunnar
