Thanks Jeroen! Do Dutch people use "blikken schotel" in the derogatory sense
that it has become in Afrikaans?

Also, I understand that Afrikaans sounds (to Dutch ears) like a really backwards
dialect; something like Flemish with a couple-of-hundred years out of date
accent. Can you confirm this?

All in the interests of better chess programming, of course :)
