This is right you have "hard\neasy\ before go" turned on.
From the CB site:
"hard" - "easy" (pondering has to be off; you may ignore it if this is the
default)

See above, maybe "go" must be translated here to "hard\neasy\ngo"

Yes, it is possible that you have right! :)

If the difference is only the winboard adapter. Then one send hard\neasy\n and
one doesn't.

Look at your logfile for WinBoard Adapter from 24.05.01 ...

Firste time there is hard\neasy\n
next time there is only hard\n
