The autoplayer used by these programs is for DOS programs only. There's no way a Windows program can use it. 2. The list is not accurate: Shredder and Nimzo98 are Windows programs that do not use the "auto232 device". They use Win32 code that was written by Stefan-Meyer Kahlen. Nothing wrong with that (IMO). BTW, Fritz5 can't use this code either since it needs Win16 code. Amir
