Go up one level in this thread

Sure they are interested. But CCC was formed with a specific set of guidelines
firmly in mind. And one of them was that this is for discussion of computer
chess topics only. The general chess forum is the right place for Fischer
discussions.

Because this isn't a "chess site". It is a "computer chess site". This was
why it was formed, this was one of the original guidelines used when setting
it up. And this has been the desire of the membership since it was created.

Someone always wants to start a Fischer thread. There is no problem with doing
so, but just do it on the GCF and not here...

Those threads _were_ about "computer chess". Which means they are fair
game. We have deleted things that got too personal, or too inflammatory.
But only rarely. But "Computer Chess Club" sort of says it all...

You might ask the moderator nominees what their stand is on off-topic posts
like Fischer. I would hope they would say "no". As I said, I don't mind the
discussions about him, but they don't belong in CCC as it has _nothing_ to do
with computer chess issues.
