the show thinking problem was apparently caused by the move output
format
Crafty uses, in combination with a second chess program running and
sending
stuff to winboard at the same time.  I think it will also be ok if you
use
show thinking, but add "display nomovenum" to crafty.rc...

however, if comet isn't terminating cleanly... that will affect *both*
programs if they are all running on the same machine...
