Millenium sells for the MCS 6.0 & 6.5 a WChess 2000 engine from Dave which is
nearly 2 years old now... it is still quite strong and in some way, I think the
styles some new engines have now seems to be inspired what WChess 2000 is doing,
WChess was always a cool engine - I have the specifications about the MCS
protocol and I am in task to produce a MCS to Winboard adapter so that those
engines might get back to live - concerning to WChess it would be really a loss
when it gets lost in space... Maybe I will try to contact Richard Lang if there
is any chance to use this adapter also with his older Genius, I would really
like to see them from time to time on the servers... They might be no longer up
to date or as strong as the newest engines, but still they are dangerous and can
play very nice chess. From time to time I try my own engine against those heros
and I can still learn much of them, on nowadays hardware I believe that WChess
2000, Genius 6.5 & MChess 8 would be clearly above 2500 when I take SSDF-ELO as
base...

Greets, Thomas

P.S.: Well, I give the MCS 2 WB adapter a good chance and that I can give WChess
2000 and that Zarkov 5 from Millenium a comeback under winboard - the chances
with Genius are not nearly as good, Richard would have to help me much then and
I don't know if he is still interest much in his older Baby's... But believe me,
the community will know forever for what the name Lang stands.
