Hi Jonas, > Because we have seen those games a trillion times, i guess i would like to see > if a human could beat a comp at equal terms ( no tricks, just chess!!) err... tricks ? Is anti comp a trick and no chess ??? How to win if you are forbidden to show the weak sides of your opponent ? When J. Carlos might play 3. ... h5 after your given line do you claim him that he uses anti comp "tricks" - I don't see even any trick in playing h4 against the Tigers as they first arrive at the chess servers - That was totally okay from my point of view - if they lack to play after that move Christophe has some work to do... and they get after that their rating they deserve - I was absolutely not agree with some ICC members which refuses some opening lines when using Tiger as an opponent. > If a human player beats the comp (out of "sound" book in an equal position) > with a kinside attack or what have you, then fine by me, but if you play the > comp, using, what you concider "anti comp" then what's the point, it's like > beating up on someone who are weaker than you in a certain area, where's the > fun in that. to show who is the master and who not ??? I believe totally in the fact that when GMs & IMs would start studying certain tactics for playing against humans because that would be in some way interesting to earn the money in their live comps would fall in comp - human events some 200 ELOs down - or even more. But let us not start a new thread with "are top programs GMs ?" :) Really nobody wants to see that again... :) Greets, Thomas
