You may be right about that, although I've never heard anybody actually say
that. Why do you say that, especially when an even number of rounds at least
makes it possible that most participants will play White and Black an equal
number of times?

I thought that the ideal number of rounds for a Swiss tournament was strictly
dependent upon the number of entrants....
