>Funny, though, how the program that you download or the one off the CD will >never reproduce that move. Looking at the list of entrants, I trust the >character of all those that I know (most of them) to know that they are not >going to cheat. :) Another round of non refutations. Experimental versions, anyone?! Special settings, learning, privateware, etc. Contrasting with the world of sports. It becomes clear that you have a positive expectation that I cannot and will not share. Even rank amateurs cheat. Making a special version that will behave as expected is a piece of cake. >Don't personally believe it. If someone is in such great fear of losing to >cheaters that they won't enter this contest, then I feel sorry for them. Not >that it is impossible to cheat. Just that I think it is absurd to cheat and it >would incredibly easy to catch cheaters. The risk of cheating is enormous, and >the benefit is miniscule. > See note above. You have a positive view. We have to disagree I'm afraid. >This tournament has had publicity for months. Everyone knows when it will start >and has known this for quite a while. A few months is not a long time. Especially if you are preparing for other scheduled events, and others. For example, Rebel is preparing for two Human-Computer events. Much more important that the CCT, IMO. And the rules are not ready for prime time, yet. But in time I hope it will be recognized. It is a truly exciting spectacle, well worth watching. MvH Dan Andersson
