Yes, I think a software solution is preferable.  The program could also scan the
keyboard, or input from any source, to assure non-interference.

Perhaps a spec for this "secure online automated protocol" (soap) should be
worked out here, then put out for bid.  Payment could be made with entry fees
for CCT5.
