Yes, if big money is the main issue you can forget about chess. But those young talents arising are very interesting and noone really knows where they will end. Right now young US IM Hikaru Nakamura, 14 years old with ELO 2452, is playing in the Bermudas. 3 straight wins vs the GM:s Lesiege, Vescovi and Socko... GM-norm is 6/9.
