Well, if you want to simulate a 600 rated player accurately, you have to hang
pieces.  I haven't tested the machine thoroughly, maybe only the lowest of the
fun levels blatantly hang pieces.

I remember that the 1-ply levels on some of the old Fidelity machines used to
sometimes fail to defend against a threatened mate in one that was not a check.
But you had to play well enough to get into that situation before it captured
too many pieces.  In my first win against the original sensory challenger's
lowest level (after dozens of losses), I managed to beat it with just some pawns
against a bishop and some pawns for the machine. :)
