There are probably several factors going into his decision not to play. 1. He's rich as it is. He's not going to drool over another $1 million like the rest of us. 2. He's not as good as he used to be. He's still among the top players in the world, but as we have seen from even the recent Linares tournament, he plays sub-optimal moves occasionally. In the Linares case, he got a draw when he should have gotten a win, which isn't THAT bad, but I have a feeling that a computer at the level of a third Deep Blue computer would smash him for any mistake. So he doesn't really have any motivation or reason to play another computer match. They're offering money, he has money...and why should he risk another embarrasing loss? There's really no good reason he has for playing. Russell
