Not true.  I had a Tyan S2460 and used both 2 Thunderbird (1.4Ghz) CPUs, and 2
XP (1.53Ghz) CPUs.  Never had a problem.  When I upgraded to the XP2100s, they
would NOT work in the Asus mobo I had bought (or the Tyan).  I had to modify the
CPUs, and now they work fine.  The BIOS even reports them as AMD MP CPUs.

You _HAVE_ to use registered memory with ALL dual AMD systems.  It's not an
option.  They don't have to be ECC, but they DO have to be registered.
