I'm sure I'd get a lot longer than that in standby, but I leave it plugged in to power the rest of the time (because the PDA I use for everything but chess is the Sony Clie). I guess I'll contact Compaq and get the ball rolling to get the iPAQ repaired or replaced. Thanks! (Adding that task to the to-do list in my Sony...)
