I was surprised to find that fritz5 has better results with a powerbook.
It was not significantly better(it can be only because of statistical error).

I simply hate too large theory books and I believe they are counterproductive
if you do not use them wisely and I do not see fritz5 uses them wisely.

to be in a bad position with black after 20 moves and with draw after 20 moves
with white is not wise.
