maybe this has something to do with the fact that fritz and ferret are somehow
similar, but fritz searches deeper.

I play fritz against all kind of programs.
Tiger, Diep, Eugen, Zarkov, Rebel, etc.

I cannot reproduce the good results.

I have not said it cheats.

I only say i cannot reproduce the good results.
I can replay the games when somebody posts them, but i get weaker results.
Especially strange draw-bug-games. These draw-bug games end in draw or fritz
loses.

I can only guess the autoplayer is the reason. Because i see no reason
why my games played out manually and the games played out by the chessBase
autoplayer should be much different.

But it is.

So: i trust the users (enrique, dirk, moritz) but i don't know the player.
So i think the problem is in the player !

I cannot proof anything or find out without the autoplayer.

But i see no reason to say: oh yes, you are all right, when my own
results do not reflect this .. I have always written what my results
told me, why should i lie now ?!

>I have a hard time figuring out how to make the versions of reality I am hearing

Why ?

They play with the autoplayer and get good results.
My friends and i play manually and get weaker results.

The difference is: they use autoplayer, we not.

I would now have the idea somehow the autoplayer is doing something differen,
or the version is different. Or the book. Or whatever.
But why shall i give up or resign ?
It is a technical problem. Nothing more.

Of course you cannot await that people working for chessbase will have
a reason to make deep research into this area :-)))
