If you turn on Ruffian's logging, you can easily determine if it is finding tablebase files, opening books etc. I also like to use Windows Task Manager to ensure that the memory is being allocated the way I want and that we don't have CPU hogging going on. >I am testing the UCI version....I don't know if that is a problem. I heard the >uci version works fine until now. Most of my tests are under Winboard, but I have a friend who has done extensive testing and he has indicated that UCI has problems. I seem to recall something similar from the Winboard forum, but I am not sure about it. So my experience with UCI difficulties is mostly "word of mouth." But I expect that there are some issues.
