Hallo Uri, how convincing arguments: I look at engine-engine games rather than trust matches another person had made, and I don't refer to them because it could mean - in our case- not knowing one of the engines which had been core of discussion. Hyatt isn't a god. Ruffian plays in many settings a little or much better than any Crafty-version Hyatt worked on (since nearly 30 years?). I don't underestimate Hyatt's competence and merits - giving us one of the strongest amateur-chess engines in the world. But I don't like people setting rumors in the world without having any evidence for it. It's a kind of slandering (in German: Rufmord) which is a criminal in Germany. Covering it with grades of probability is a "fine" way of asserting something without being persecuted for it. Bye, Hartmut
