Celebrating what? A blunder? It looks to me like they were just having a >good moment goofing off together. No harm done :) > I disagree. This "team" represents _all_ computer chess at this tournament. What people see here is representative of what the average "joe" thinks/sees about computer chess. Having fun is all good and well, but posting a smug picture on your site after your opponent makes a blunder and "having fun" looks ridiculous and childish to me. Imagine if IBM had posted this type of pic on their website after Kaspy blundered...I know I cant imagine it either. IF computer chess is trying to be taken seriously as a serious enterprise, these sophmoric attempts at humor that only people close to the audience understand, they need to be considered more carefully. This picture belongs in the authors personal scrapbook, not on the webpage of the products he is endorsing...especially after the way they won game 5. A picture of the team smiling would be nice, but the bravado in THIS picture makes computer chess look like a collegiate endeavor. Ed >Russell
